A free Lindy Hop night in Oyster Bay on Monday 19th October, then six Monday classes in Como and a dance party. No partner, no experience, flat shoes.

Oyster Bay Community Hall has a proper sprung floor. It’s what a real dance venue has and a school hall doesn’t.

Not a drop-in class — the same small group for six weeks, so you actually learn to dance instead of just turning up once.

On Saturday 5th December you’ll be out on the floor at a proper swing night. Included, not an upsell.
What happens on Monday 19th October?
| 7:00 | Doors open. Someone takes your name at the table by the door. Warm up. |
| 7:10 | Twenty minutes of teaching. Everybody learns the same basic step. You’ll have it inside ten minutes. |
| 7:30 | The champions dance. Three minutes, full speed. Worth the trip on its own. |
| 7:40 | Twenty minutes more, building on what you just watched. |
| 8:00 | Social dancing. Partners rotate, sit one out whenever you like, nobody has to perform. |

Come on your own if you like – most people do, and you’ll know six names by eight o’clock.
Then six Mondays in Como
Six weeks in a small studio in Como (with sprung floor). Same room, same people, starting from absolutely nothing. From 26th October, then 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30th November. Teaching from 7:30pm to 8:30pm, then social dancing to practice what you’ve just learnt.
Prices – $105 each. Or $85 if you book on launch night or before Friday 23 October. $145 for two people (lead & follow) together. Sixteen places. That is not a marketing number – it’s the size of the studio, and when it’s full it’s full.
And then, on 5 December, you go dancing
Saturday 5 December, back at Oyster Bay Community Hall. Dancers come down from across Sydney, the floor fills up, and after six weeks you’re out on it rather than watching from the side. Your place is included in the course.

Who’s Teaching?
I’m Brian. I’ve been dancing Lindy Hop for fifteen years, I live in Como, and I got tired of driving forty-five minutes to do it. So I’m starting something here.
